I see that this repository mentions below:

This repository serves as a replacement of the community-maintained DefinitelyTyped @types/serverless package.

But, serverless documentation states to use @types/serverless (which has v4 changes)

Can somebody please throw some light which is the way going forward?

feat: update the schema for serverless v4

Using the the commands mentioned in github actions, the new schema for
serverless v4 is generated.

Resolves: serverless#89
