Begin function fails - while(1) loop inside begin function. #3

If begin fails, it gets stopped by this while loop. I'm guessing this was left over from some early dev work on this?

From the comment, It seems as though this loop in begin is supposed to be repeatedly trying to communicate with the IC for 1.5s after boot up.
