In line with

add the same possibility for mpl tables.

Proof of concept:
Conditional formatting for 2- or 3-scale coloring of cells of a table

To add a plot function for tables as in:
Conditional formatting for 2- or 3-scale coloring of cells of a table

if someone wants to contribute this, great, though the recipe presented in the linked issue seems ok to me. maybe just write this up in a cookbook?

Appears there hasn't been much activity or community support for this feature in a while so closing. Happy to reopen if there's renewed support
