Currently copying to clipboard requires xclip, X11 forwarding and a local X11 server.
Describe the solution you'd like
Terminal sequence OSC 52 allows to write data to local clipboard without relying on X11. It is widely supported by terminal emulators and TUI applications, e.g. micro. Quick search shows a Go package that might help.

I use Windows Terminal to connect over SSH to a remote headless Ubuntu control node running k9s.
