Unable to gain GUI after password input

I have a quick question, I have code-server set up and running, I am using openvpn to access code-server directory with --bind-addr 10.8.0.1:8080 I am able to get my mobile devices, laptop anything on the network to display to the "Welcome to code-server message, with the password input box, however the browser cycles, I am not using nginx, i do not need that correct? I have very stable connections with the VPN across my devices, and got this far. I am wishing to use just code-server set up listening on the private network, so just me but testing thus far across 5 devices I can get to the Login Page, there are a few issues I am working on. any ideas? i am reviewing code-servers config, I think if I re-install code-server as root maybe?

I don't think the issue has to do with IPv6, the vpn is set up using IPv6 GUA, binding to the inet6 doesn't work, I am able to connect with binding to 10.0.0.2:8080 across the network, still stuck on the login page, this seems to be a permissions issues??? something with ubuntu i am not sure

I even used a strong passeord just in case lol
